Mike is a Technical Director at Adaptus with 20 years of experience spanning resource, energy, water, and government sectors in Australia and Canada/USA. He has delivered over 80 client engagements, tackling complex ESG dilemmas at strategic, project, and asset levels and at all stages of asset life cycles. These collaborations have resulted in demonstrably improved outcomes across a range of areas, including ecosystem services, GHG emissions, water use, worker safety, and other environmental and social considerations.
Mike is an experienced practitioner in structured decision-making techniques, and leads multi-disciplinary teams combining skills such as engineering, science, cost estimation, environmental economics and natural capital valuation, in order to deliver clear business cases for clients.
In his most recent role, he led the development and governance of asset risk assessment frameworks and tools for a $40 billion water utility infrastructure asset portfolio.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering. He is an active member of the Australian Water Association, along with membership of the Asset Management Council of Australia.
